The Thousand Wisdoms Bestiary

A boy walks up to his grandfather, a single electric light casting an orange shade over his desk. The boy is supposed to be sleeping, but he never follows his parents. He leans over his grandfather and looks down at the dusty, yellow-paged tome.

The boy’s grandfather doesn’t reply. He just flips the page of a thousand wisdoms.
